Cell Phone Case
Cotton and felt cell phone case with a divider.
Approximate finished size - 7 X 4.25 inches.
Can be made with either a cross body strap or a walker handle.
Machine washable.
Recommend washing material and felt, and drying to remove dyes before cutting and sewing.

Cell Phone Case Directions
Cotton and felt cell phone case with a divider. Approximate finished size - 7 X 4.25 inches. Machine washable. Recommend washing material and felt, and drying to remove dyes before cutting and sewing.
Materials:
Cotton Material - 1/12 of a yard for Case Front and Back.
Cotton Material - 1/12 of a yard for Divider (Contrasting).
Felt Material - 1/12 of a yard for Case Lining.
Cotton Material - 1/12 of a yard for Loops (May be same of contrasting).
Button - At least 1 inch diameter, or rod shape.
Step 1: Cut 1 Button Loop and 1 Handle Loop.
Button Loop - 6 inches long by 2 inches wide
Handle Loop - 12 inches long by 2 inches wide
There are a few optional choices: Longer loop for a cane, or a cross body style. There is also an option to make a belt loop.
Cane Loop - 16 inches long by 2 inches wide
Cross Body Loop - 60 inches long by 4 inches wide (May be shorter for people less than 5 foot tall.)
Step 2:
Fold with the pattern on the inside and pin on the long side.
Sew the long seam for each loop.
Tie off each end.
Use a safety pin to connect to one end of the loop, push it inside and through to make the loop correct side out.
Step 3: Cut the main materials. It helps visually if the felt, divider, and back of the material are different in color.

Cut the Cell Phone Case Divider - 8.5 X 6 inches
Cut the Cell Phone Case Felt - 8.5 X 5.25 inches
Step 4: Attach Felt
Choose the Front of the Cell Phone Case
Turn down the top one turn
Push the top of the felt against the turn down section
Turn the material top one more time over the top of the felt
Pin the two together so that the felt is not turned under
Sew that seam. Tie off and trim.
Step 5: Sew the Divider Top Seam.
Turn down the top seam line twice
Pin seam
Sew seam
Trim threads
Lay on top of the felt with the front of the divider facing the felt.
Step 6: Sew the Back of the Cell Phone Case
Turn down the top seam line twice
Pin seam
Mark the middle of the seam
Fold the Button Loop in half
Attach the loose ends in the middle of the seam, so they point down
Sew seam
Trim threads
Lay with the pattern facing the pattern of the front
Step 7: Attach Walker Hanging Loop
Pin all three pieces together
Make sure the pattern for the Front and Back are facing each other
Attach the Walker Hanging Loop just below the top seam on the Divider side
Sew seam
Tie off and trim loose ends and extra bits of material
Turn right side out
Step 8: Attach Button
Fold Button Loop down to determine how far down the pouch to attach the Button.
Carefully sew button in marked spot
Optional Cross Body Loop:
Step 7: To attach Optional Cross Body Loop:
Pin all three pieces together
Make sure the pattern for the Front and Back are facing each other
Attach the Cross Body Loop just below the top seam on the Divider side
Be sure the Cross Body Loop is pinned with seams together, so that the Loop itself is inside the Cell Phone Case while being sewn together.
Sew seam
Tie off and trim loose ends and extra bits of material
Turn right side out
