Braille Emergency Contact Lists Folder

Updated: Oct 11

Braille lists can help you learn braille.

Start with words you know, such as your own name and the names of those who matter to you.

Move along to food, colors, and more.

Create some of your own lists.

What favorites do you want recognize?

Dog breeds

Fishing lures

Ball teams

Trees

Create your own lists to help you recognize the aspects of life that matter most to you!

Practice a little each day, and your reading speed will improve!

Work with each section, don't spend too long in one place, as that can cause frustration.

At this time, all of the below pdfs contain both print on the left, and visual Braille font on the right. Which allows you to learn the braille as your vision fades, as well as allowing sighted family and friends to help you in your journey to learn Braille.

Vision permitting for seeing the pages, you can use a slate to practice creating print on the left, and actual Braille on the right, and store in an Emergency Contact Binder to refer to on your braille journey.

This Emergency Contact Binder is extremely valuable. In fact, it could save your life, if you have your medical contact information in it.

By creating these resources, you can look them up by symbol as well as name.

Especially since you may not remember, or even know the name, if you don't recognize the symbol.

The goal is to have brf files of these pages available also. However, the Wix site does not allow upload of brf files, so if you need them, email Uncovered Myths, and the files will be emailed to you.

Good luck on your journey into the world of Braille!

May it keep you reading and writing.
