Berry Medley - Allergy Free CookBook

Updated: Sep 18

At one point, I used to eat a lot of berries. I enjoyed the orange raspberries. Then, I developed diverticulitis. I gave up the delicious orange raspberries. Some berries are more harmful than others when it comes to diverticulitis, particularly blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Blueberries and other fruit that have large seeds than can be spit out, or bred out, are the safest. On a full stomach, I can have the occasional handful of berries, or smoothie, and not worry too much. The second greatest danger of berries is pesticide residue. Wash all berries thoroughly before eating, cooking, or freezing.
