Microwaved hot chocolate is quick and easy. Some people are content using the directions on the box of prepared hot chocolates. It doesn't mix as well. Prepared in the microwave, half a packet is more than enough for one cup. With a little attention, hot chocolate can be prepared in the microwave and taste as good as if prepared on the stove. Fewer dishes to wash. Once a cook knows the amount of time to set on the microwave, it generally doesn't change. Although, as the microwave ages, it may extend.
