Sun tea is an old fashioned way to make tea without direct heat. A clear glass jar is filled with warm water and several tea bags and left to warm in the sun. It can be entertaining to watch the color of the water change as the tea steeps. Reminiscent of a lava lamp. It does take several hours for full steeping. For same day tea, put it outside in the sun early in the morning. A sunny counter, or kitchen table, will do just as well. Sun tea can be served warm or cold. And with or without sugar.
